retained by German orthopedic biotech firm, Ossacur, to secure U.S. distribution
Duluth, Georgia – Hatch Medical, L.L.C., a medical device incubator and
technology brokerage firm, announced today that it has been retained by German
orthopedic biotechnology firm Ossacur, AG (Oberstenfeld, Germany) to identify
and secure a U.S. distributor for their recently FDA-cleared biologic implant,
OSSAPLAST®.
OSSAPLAST® is an implantable, fully resorbable β-tricalciumphosphate (β-TCP)
ceramic in granular form that is used in the filling and reconstruction of bone
defects. OSSAPLAST® consists of phase-pure β-TCP which enables shape-adapted
defect filling, osteo-conductivity, and is both highly biocompatible and porous
(outside the critical grain size of 500 – 1,000 µm).
