Hatch Medical Partners with Physician Inventor to Broker Hemostatic Agent Delivery System
Atlanta, Georgia - Hatch Medical, L.L.C., a medical device incubator and technology brokerage firm, announced today that it has recently entered into an agreement with physician inventor and interventional radiologist, Mark Saker, M.D., to broker his patent-pending hemostatic agent delivery system.
Dr. Saker's device utilizes proprietary technology and design elements that precisely and accurately deliver hemostatic agents which prevent bleeding complications by sealing tissue tracts following solid organ or lung biopsies. The market for this unique technology has been estimated to be $50 to $150 million.

According to Mark Saker, M.D., "Our clinical work suggests that this device safely delivers hemostatic agents to a tract created by a biopsy instrument and effectively seals off the site. As a result, I believe that this device helps to address the potential serious complication of uncontrolled bleeding following biopsy procedures -- a significant unmet need among clinicians".
