Hatch Medical to Broker High-flow Valve Technology
Duluth, Georgia - Medical device incubator and technology brokerage firm, Hatch Medical, L.L.C. (www.hatchmedical.com) announced today that it has recently entered into an agreement with Nordgren Corporation to broker its patent-pending high-flow valve platform, FloTec™.
Conceived by Greg Nordgren, a biomedical engineering expert with 23 issued and six pending patents to his credit, the FloTec™ valve utilizes proprietary design elements which allow for high pressure injections and over-the-wire placement without compromising valve integrity. Ideal applications for the FloTec™ include PICC lines, hemodialysis catheters and other central venous catheters. It has been estimated that the FloTec™ valve could enhance the performance of an estimated five million vascular access catheters used globally on an annual basis.
Paul Gianneschi, Managing Principal and Founder of Hatch Medical stated, "We are excited to be working with Greg on this project. The FloTec™ valve is now immediately available and may be licensed or acquired by interested third parties through an exclusive agreement with Hatch Medical.
