Atlanta, Georgia – Hatch Medical, L.L.C., a medical device incubator and technology brokerage firm, announced today that it has recently entered into an agreement with HB Technology, LLC to broker, with an option to manufacture, their patented core-tissue biopsy instrument.
HB Technology’s device incorporates proprietary design elements and proven core-tissue biopsy technology to produce a minimally invasive device which yields histological tissue samples, known to be both diagnostically accurate and universally accepted.
Incorporating numerous product features previously only found in multiple products, HB Technology’s device includes both fully and semi-automated firing mechanisms and boasts variable penetration depths of 6 mm – 22 mm. Additionally, the single-handed device is exceptionally compact, lightweight and incorporates a powerful firing mechanism making it ideal for both ultrasound and CT guided biopsies. Needle guage options of 20, 16, 18, and 14 make this product ideally suited to address the needs of physicians performing a wide range of soft tissue biopsies including liver, kidney, pancreas, prostate, thyroid, lung and breast.
