After 15 years in the healthcare industry, I founded Hatch Medical to assist physician inventors with new product concepts. Serving in a marketing role for much of my time, I was personally involved in numerous new device development projects. Quite often, the most successful were those brought to the company by enterprising physicians. The sad truth, however, was that we frequently turned away promising projects due to a lack of product development resources and an often-changing organizational focus. The unfortunate result was that many physicians became frustrated, and most had few options or other places to turn for help.

As a result of my experience, I set out to start a company focused on assisting physicians with novel concepts for minimally invasive medical devices. Due to our unique risk-sharing business model Hatch Medical is often in a position to take on new projects that some larger companies might reject. We can do this because we keep our organizational costs low and our focus on new product development high. As a result, we spend virtually all of our time on the kinds of activities that yield improved products, quicker vendor response times and ultimately greater value to the physician.

It is our belief that Hatch Medical provides an important service to both our physician clients and the medical device community by rapidly advancing the product development process and drastically reducing the time it takes to bring new devices to market.
